Therapeutic Orientation

I am an eclectic therapist and I draw from a number of traditions, including but not limited to: Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person Centered, and Depth Psychology.  I am also trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Seeking Safety, evidence-based practices that are strongly supported by research demonstrating their effectiveness in helping people regulate their emotions and have better relationships with themselves and others.  In addition, I bring my knowledge and experience as a yoga teacher and yoga therapist into my practice.  I incorporate yoga, mindfulness, contemplative practices, and various Eastern philosophies into my work. Furthermore, I can guide you in identifying and making lifestyle changes that can help you attain lasting tranquility, self-confidence, and awareness of your own inner power.  Most importantly, I believe in empowering my clients to learn skills for managing the ups & downs of life, growing personally & spiritually, and healing from life’s distressing events.  You and I will work together to create a treatment plan that best meets your needs, adjusting that plan as needed.
